Today’s blogpost will be a little update on my behalf: what I’ve been up to, where WTB is at, what I’ve been doing with YouTube, and how I plan to move forward.
Let’s start with some exciting news: Wings That Burn is set to release on 22.04.2021!
Originally, I had hoped to publish about half a month prior to that date. But because some new opportunities opened up and some of my other deadlines shifted forward (read: university has me busy), I wanted to move it back so I had a proper amount of time to look into everything. I don’t want to rush this process, I want to do it right. So, the 22nd of April it is!
If you’ve missed the big news, or are new to my blog (welcome), Wings That Burn is a collection of poems I have written over the past 3 years that I am planning to release into the world soon. It is absolutely terrifying and exhilariting at the same time, and I love every second of it. Currently, I’m making my way through the final edits with the feedback I got from my beta readers. Which means more writing, adding illustrations, and figuring out the placement of some of the poems. If you want to find more information, you can find it on my Instagram or read the title & cover reveal blogpost I wrote recently.
Other than editing, I have honestly mostly been busy with university work. Deadlines are back-to-back at the moment, as I am approaching the end of another block of courses. Which also means that my exam week is coming up, and that usually means a bunch of stress is headed my way. But, luckily that’s a little more than a week away still and I can prepare myself a bit. Though I don’t doubt that I’ll be AWOL that week as I take and study for my exams.
Oh, and that brings me to my second announcement! I now officially have a Youtube channel, and my first video has already gone live. It’s a place where I hope to share most aspects of my life. From reading, writing, photography and studying to any other projects I might feel inclined to share with you. It would mean the world if you checked it out! I plan to upload there once a month, usually at the end of the month, for now. If you have any suggestions for videos, don’t be afraid to let me know.
But as you can see, my life has gotten quite busy between university, trying to publish a book, and running my bookstagram, businesses and now also a Youtube channel. Evidently, I don’t like going halfway, I immediately go full-throttle. What that means however, is that there will be a slight shift in my uploading schedule on all of my socials. First of all, I want to make clear that as school gets busy, I will be less active on my socials to give myself the time and space required to pass my courses. With that out of the way, here is my current uploading schedule:
- My writing Instagram: expect a new post every other day but for the weekends! Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays you can find a new picture and caption on my Instagram.
- My Youtube: a new video every month! These videos will be either a vlogging format or a sit-down format, or a combination of both.
- My blog: a new blogpost every month! This will range from reviews, life updates, writing insights, to so much more.
- WTB: going live on 22.04.2021!
- My photography Instagram: this Instagram is currently undergoing a little change! Instead of being active here all the time, I will use the page as a portfolio where I share pictures that I’m proud of and/or hold special value to me.
Thank you for sticking with me until the end of this post, and I’ll catch you in the next one!
